#1 Al-A'raf :148 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ And Musa's people made of their ornaments a calf after him, a (mere) body, which gave a mooing sound. What! could they not see that it did not speak to them nor guide them in the way? They took it (for worship) and they were unjust. ]

[ واتخذ قوم موسى من بعده من حليهم عجلا جسدا له خوار ألم يروا أنه لا يكلمهم ولا يهديهم سبيلا اتخذوه وكانوا ظالمين ] — الأعراف 148

#2 Al-Muminoon :100 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ Haply I may do good in that which I have left. By no means! it is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is a barrier until the day they are raised. ]

[ لعلي أعمل صالحا فيما تركت كلا إنها كلمة هو قائلها ومن ورائهم برزخ إلى يوم يبعثون ] — المؤمنون 100

[ So he brought forth for them a calf, a (mere) body, which had a mooing sound, so they said: This is your god and the god of Musa, but he forgot. ]

[ فأخرج لهم عجلا جسدا له خوار فقالوا هذا إلهكم وإله موسى فنسي ] — طه 88

[ And certainly We tried Sulaiman, and We put on his throne a (mere) body, so he turned (to Allah). ]

[ ولقد فتنا سليمان وألقينا على كرسيه جسدا ثم أناب ] — ص 34

[ And the mountains shall be moved off so that they shall remain a mere semblance. ]
