#1 Al-Munafiqun :4 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ And when you see them, their persons will please you, and If they speak, you will listen to their speech; (they are) as if they were big pieces of wood clad with garments; they think every cry to be against them. They are the enemy, therefore beware of them; may Allah destroy them, whence are they turned back? ]

[ وإذا رأيتهم تعجبك أجسامهم وإن يقولوا تسمع لقولهم كأنهم خشب مسندة يحسبون كل صيحة عليهم هم العدو فاحذرهم قاتلهم الله أنى يؤفكون ] — المنافقون 4

#2 Al-Ahqaf :10 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ Say: Have you considered if it is from Allah, and you disbelieve in it, and a witness from among the children of Israel has borne witness of one like it, so he believed, while you are big with pride; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people. ]

[ قل أرأيتم إن كان من عند الله وكفرتم به وشهد شاهد من بني إسرائيل على مثله فآمن واستكبرتم إن الله لا يهدي القوم الظالمين ] — الأحقاف 10

#3 Al-Munafiqun :5 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ And when it is said to them: Come, the Apostle of Allah will ask forgiveness for you, they turn back their heads and you may see them turning away while they are big with pride. ]

[ وإذا قيل لهم تعالوا يستغفر لكم رسول الله لووا رءوسهم ورأيتهم يصدون وهم مستكبرون ] — المنافقون 5

#4 At-Talaq :5 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ That is the command of Allah which He has revealed to you, and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah, He will remove from him his evil and give him a big reward. ]

[ ذلك أمر الله أنزله إليكم ومن يتق الله يكفر عنه سيئاته ويعظم له أجرا ] — الطلاق 5

#5 Al-Muddathir :23 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ Then he turned back and was big with pride, ]

[ ثم أدبر واستكبر ] — المدثر 23
