#1 Saba :14 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ But when We decreed death for him, naught showed them his death but a creature of the earth that ate away his staff; and when it fell down, the jinn came to know plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in abasing torment. ]

[ فلما قضينا عليه الموت ما دلهم على موته إلا دابة الأرض تأكل منسأته فلما خر تبينت الجن أن لو كانوا يعلمون الغيب ما لبثوا في العذاب المهين ] — سبأ 14

#2 Fussilat :16 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ So We sent on them a furious wind in unlucky days, that We may make them taste the chastisement of abasement in this world's life; and certainly the chastisement of the hereafter is much more abasing, and they shall not be helped. ]

[ فأرسلنا عليهم ريحا صرصرا في أيام نحسات لنذيقهم عذاب الخزي في الحياة الدنيا ولعذاب الآخرة أخزى وهم لا ينصرون ] — فصلت 16

#3 Al-Mujadila :5 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ Surely those who act in opposition to Allah and His Apostle shall be laid down prostrate as those before them were laid down prostrate; and indeed We have revealed clear communications, and the unbelievers shall have an abasing chastisement. ]

[ إن الذين يحادون الله ورسوله كبتوا كما كبت الذين من قبلهم وقد أنزلنا آيات بينات وللكافرين عذاب مهين ] — المجادلة 5

#4 Luqman :6 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. ]

[ ومن الناس من يشتري لهو الحديث ليضل عن سبيل الله بغير علم ويتخذها هزوا أولئك لهم عذاب مهين ] — لقمان 6

[ And as to Samood, We showed them the right way, but they chose error above guidance, so there overtook them the scourge of an abasing chastisement for what they earned. ]

[ وأما ثمود فهديناهم فاستحبوا العمى على الهدى فأخذتهم صاعقة العذاب الهون بما كانوا يكسبون ] — فصلت 17

#6 An-Nisa' :14 — English , Mohammad Habib Shakir

[ And whoever disobeys Allah and His Apostle and goes beyond His limits, He will cause him to enter fire to abide in it, and he shall have an abasing chastisement. ]

[ ومن يعص الله ورسوله ويتعد حدوده يدخله نارا خالدا فيها وله عذاب مهين ] — النساء 14

[ They make their oaths to serve as a cover so they turn away from Allah's way; therefore they shall have an abasing chastisement. ]

[ اتخذوا أيمانهم جنة فصدوا عن سبيل الله فلهم عذاب مهين ] — المجادلة 16

[ And when he comes to know of any of Our communications, he takes it for a jest; these it is that shall have abasing chastisement. ]

[ وإذا علم من آياتنا شيئا اتخذها هزوا أولئك لهم عذاب مهين ] — الجاثية 9

[ And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, ]

[ ولقد نجينا بني إسرائيل من العذاب المهين ] — الدخان 30
